Cluster wiring help me out
Can anyone help me out here. The pic shows the wiring colors and what most of them go to on the back of the cluster on the white/black connectors. What i want to know is besides the power wire for the cluster lights is there any other wire that need 12v on for the cluster to work? I get the lights on but nothing else works. Cluster is from a 87 t2

Looks like you are missing the Black/Yellow wire which is powered by the meter fuse and powers the gauge cluster.

Ok so i connect the black/yellow to power and its working thank you. Just one thing now the buzzer wont shut off, i think its because the oil presure isnt hooked up to the cluster. Could i just ground it out to stop the buzzer?

Most likely the coolant sensor at the top of the rad.
Either it is disconnected or broken. You can temporarily ground the wire from the harness(that goes to that sensor) and it will stop the buzzing.(brownish single wire I believe near the air box) Mind you I say "temporarily" as it is kind of important to keep an eye on coolantr levels in these engines. |
I dont have that any more. I rewired the whole car and just wanted to used the rpm and speed. I have gauges to keep an eye on everything dont worry lol
