Changing drum springs

A little while back one the springs on my rear driver side drums had broken off. The shop I took it to told me that that did not have the springs specific to my car available, however they had some laying around that "fit". I had ordered a set of springs that actually go to my car and they finally came in the mail the other day.

Tomorrow I'm going to try to change them all out, however, ive never done this before. Now I know I could do a quick Google search and look up a guide on how to do it, but I figured it would be a better idea to ask you guys on here who could probably give me a better explanation and warn me about any common mistakes/problems with this area.

Car is an 85 rx7 gs, manual transmission.

Do you have the tools to do it?If you have never done brake springs before you should not be doing it.
I'm not questioning your ability to do it,Just saying that it is a Safety thing.I would just get the car back to the Guy that put the "these fit" springs to put on the correct ones.He should be able to do it fast since he is familiar with the brakes.

Lol. hook one side in and put channel locks on the other hook of the spring and pull like hell to the other shoe.
