Center Console Fix FD
 

Hey all,

I recently noticed the crack in the center console of my FD getting a little worse. Has anyone repaired one of these? If so, what was your method? Or would you recommend just picking another up off of the classified section?

Joshua, I think you should at least give it a try. I fixed mine up with a decent amount of sanding and some flat black plastic bumper paint. As far as the repair it depends on how nasty the crack (that's what he said), but I'd imagine some epoxy, sanding and paint and you should be good to go.

Pictures would help to see what you're dealing with. But I've repaired other interior panels and used black PLASTI-DIP to refinish. NEW console covers might still be available but they're going to be pricey. And if the tabs are still good on your's I'd try to fix it as used ones are likely to come with their own issues.

Thanks man! Ill pull it off this week and examine how it looks underneath. Id say its cracked about 65% of the way back from the plastic piece. I do imagine its repairable. However I do have a small split in the interior where the crack begins. But its small enough that ill likely deal with that part later.

I sanded and plasti-dip mine as well.
