Best rotary for VW swap?
 

Newby Brian here.

I'll be doing a rotary into early VW swap soon, and I need advice.

I want to run a carburetor and a non-ecm controlled ignition, for two reasons. I want to keep thing simple, and if I'm 50 miles out in the desert (here in Tucson) and break down I want something as easy to stumble home with as possible. I'm no opposed to converting an FI engine to carb. if necessary.

Any ideas?

You have two choices.

1. 12A since they are already carbed. You can stay with the stock card or go aftermarket. Would suggest NOT going with a holley carb. The engine mounting would be easier with the 12A..

2. Second gen S4 and convert to carb. This is the harder route.

Kennedy make a trans axle/trans conversion for 12A and 13B.
