Best battery for relocation in FD

So battery now that I'm going vmount. What do you guys think is the best sealed battery for a gen 3 battery relocation? My car guy says that a civic hybrid battery is sealed and will get the job done, but I've read that the westco is a decent battery too. So I ask my fellow fders what they think. Thanks

My personal opinion is to go with a Deka. I've used the Deka Intimidator for years and it has held up far better than parts store batteries (which are all rebranded generic) and Optima.

More important with a battery location is how it is done. Mounted securely in a box that won't fly apart in a collision, with a circuit breaker as close to the battery as physically possible, thick 0 gauge cables to the engine bay and a good ground to multiple chassis points.

The 3rd gen fAQ has a link to an excellent write up on this topic:

Types of batteries were also discussed.

Deka would be what i'd go with also.

I've been using the Odyssey relocated to the storage compartment behind the passenger seat, too, with a circuit breaker alongside. It is strapped down with a small cargo and polished with a black upholstery to match the interior. Here's a pic...

I just bought the Odyssey PC680. Great little battery. Has gotten the job done so far.
