Best Approach fo A/C

Hi - I am in the process of restoring my 93 FD base which I bought as a shell. Unfortunately, the receiver drier is bad. Its the one made by Mana versus the Denso one which are a dime a dozen new. Best I can figure from looking at the threads is that the Mana has been discontinued for about 15 years. I found a couple of sites that list it for sale but they have cancelled the order and returned my money. One replied back and said there is no stock anywhere. The Denso won't work as the fittings are different. I am trying to find someone doing a part out to sell me one but no luck. Has anyone been through this and figured out a way around it (i.e. alternate part, fitting conversion, etc.)? I am not sure how much I will drive the car without A/C as it gets really hot here in the summer which is when I will want to drive it the most. Thank you.

Thanks. I figured that out by searching through the threads. He gave a nice reply and apologized for not being able to help.

I read somewhere that the driers could be 'rehabilitated' with prolonged low, dry heat. I also have a mana on my car but with a bad compressor. Hoping this is true. In the mean time subscribed.
