anybody got an idea of how much a 13b turbo swap into a nc miata would cost?
I want to get a NC miata , but only if I can put big power in it and keep it light , anybody have an idea on how much the 13b turbo swap would cost?

It may be best to ask on a Miata forum. From what I've seen on various forums, nothing lines up and the Miata drivetrain is much like the NA FC drivetrain, pretty weak.
It's also hard to say because it depends on how you get your parts. If you can find a TII parts car for $500, you have all the TII drivetrain parts already. But if you have to buy a j-spec transmission and engine, that's about $1000. Then you'll need to source the rear end. In either case a custom driveshaft is going to be necessary and then whatever is needed to adapt the TII rear into the Miata. Or have a custom driveshaft connect the TII transmission to the Miata rear (much like the NA FC), which may be fine depending on what you consider "big power". A standalone to control it, using RX-7 ignition coils and you are then good to go. Oh, exhaust fabrication, intercooler, and all the misc stuff. |

i would look at the cost of the engine/trans/ecu & multiply that by 2. save that much to give yourself some extra breathing room should something come up :)

That sounds cool! Much better than the V8 swaps.
