Alot of questions from me for my new toy.

So here is what I've just got I bought this 1986 Mazda RX-7 off of my superintendent from work and he had it for a while could not get it to start it will crank over but it does not actually want to fully start he believed it was a fuel issue either maybe the fuel pump fuel filter spark plugs wires not getting compression he bought it from a single owner and after I got a few of my new engine bay of it I can tell that somebody has already tried to go and have a little bit of fun rewiring the motor I don't know if this is the original motor but for the time being I just want to try and get it up and running I'm going to be dropping it off at a shop but I want to know what exactly I can tell them to help them get it in a working order so I can start to build and play with.

Check to make sure you’re getting battery voltage to the coil for the distributor. Should be constant battery voltage with key on. If you have power there then take a spark plug out and attach the wire onto the spark plug and ground it close to the body and have someone crank the motor over to see if the plug is firing. If the plugs firing then move to the fuel side. Try using starting spray to see if it fires off.
