Acceleration is bucking/kicking

I'm trying to figure out why my 93 bucks/kicks when accelerating? If I accelerate slowly it will shift(automatic), and boost fine. But if I'm at a stop and then put the pedal to the floor the car will start to accelerate and the whole car will buck/kick and not accelerate properly. The rpm gage will jump around and like to stay under 4000 rpms. I recently had the catalytic convertor replaced with a straight pipe because the stock one was all clogged up but that didn't fix the problem. Also I recently got an OBD reading giving me a code saying the combustion chamber is not getting properly lubricated? Any ideas? Help!

I had a very similar sounding problem in my FC very recently, check out your OMP make sure its functioning properly. My car did the same thing but i have 5sp. I got lucky and had a buddy with an extra OMP for my s5 but its a pretty spendy repair even if you do it yourself. It sounds like its the problem...but a lot of tyhe time its the electrical connectors and such, check all connectors and sand them down whatever you gotta do and make sure all connections are very tight.

let me know what comes of this.

Hope this helps :)

More info

So I recently found some solid information about this problem. I stumbled across a forum talking about the status "limp mode". I strongly believe my RX7 is in limp mode which causes the vehicle not to be to accelerate past 3000 rpms because the ecu thinks you're going to burn the engine up. I have gotten a diagnostic reading quoting # 27 being my oil metering pump as the problem which would cause the car to go into this limp mode. Workin on checking into replacing the omp or surrounding wiring.

I had a similar situation; in the end it was the Throttle Position Sensor.
