93 rx7 idle high after change throttle body.

hi everyone, i owned my car for 2 years now.
1 mouth ago i found out one of the bolt on throttle body is broken.
so i bought one used throttle body on ebay and put that one on.
after it done, i start the car and it idles super high(1500rpm around)
i checked there is no vacuum leak, boost leak.
would that be a wrong ver throttle body? wrong year?
i didn't check tps, i don't think is the tps problem.
cuz it runs great except idle high as f***.
i searched everything i can but i didn't find any problem like mine.

please give me a little help. i just want make sure if it is the throttle body problem or something else.

i really appreciated. if someone can help me.:)

With the throttle body elbow off, make sure that the plates are not open.
Also check your throttle cable to make sure it is allowing the throttle body to close all the way.

Yep...throttle cable, binding throttle plates or possibly the large 'O' ring at the intake elbow. There's also the air-bleed screw under the throttle body. Check the FSM for adjustment on that. Did you get a new t-body to UIM gasket?
And I know you said there wasn't but... it could be vacuum leak, especially if it lopes or changes as the engine warms up from cold start.

yea i m having similar problems as is idling @1800rpm. I have changed quite a lot of stuff on the car so i m still investigating..

My issue was O ring at d intake elbow.

Actually as I think about it, not sure that 'O' ring would cause a high idle as it doesn't allow air to bypass the throttle plates. It would definitely leak boost though.

I've had a O-Ring leak Jim..
It doesn't cause high idle.
If you rev it it will sound funky...sort of like Miley Cyrus on a Popsicle.

Sorry. I gotta be more descriptive...it goes WEEEEEEE!

lol....thanks Dave. And apologies to the OP.

thank you for everyone's reply.
there is no problem with the cable. and the o ring i just changed. so can't be that.
i didn't get UIM gasket, but like i said there is no leak.
i adjusted everything i can but it doesn't work.
btw i heard about there are two kind of t-body between 93-96 and 96-02, 8 bit and 16 bit. was that the problem?cuz my car is 93,"I THINK"I'm running a 96 after t-body.
when i bought it, the seller didn't say the year for the t body, he said it fits fd thats it.
omg u feel hopeless when u trying to fix something but u can not,
this thing just freaking me out! lol
