88' fc brake problems.. http://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/scratchhead.gif

i found that the brake resevoir next to the master cylinder was empty.. so i filled it up and i noticed that it had a slow leak and that same resevoir became empty again! does anybody know what the problem might be??

also, my brake lights work when i turn the lights on but it wont get brighter when i press on the brakes!! and i already replaced all 4 bulbs with brand spankin new ones! and i replaced the brake switch too.. what else could be the problem other than wiring??

If you can't find an external leak anywhere in the brake lines or calipers, pull the carpet back from the top underneath the pedals. If you find brake fluid there, remove it and spray down the floor pan with brake cleaner, that will help prevent the floor pan from rusting out. Replace the padding too. Then replace the brake master.

When you replaced the brake lights, did you scuff the contacts in the bulb sockets, use the the correct dual filament bulbs. 1157, iirc, and check the connections on the back of the tail lights. Since you're having trouble with leaking fluid, the brake light problem may take care of itself once the fluid leak issue is fixed.
