87 turbo lsd in 86 n/t

hey guys. i was searching craigslist and found a guy who was selling a limited slip rear end for an 87 turbo rx7. i have an 86 non-turbo rx-7. i was wondering if i could put that lsd in my car and if it would work.thanks.

Short answer, no.

You would need to either use the entire TII drivetrain or you would need to make a set of custom axles and a custom driveshaft.

If you start at the clutch and replace everything from there back, yes. That includes the tranny, starter, clutch , driveshaft, diff, halfhafts and hard suspension upgrade. Flywheel needs to match the series of the engine too, (S4 or S5).
