87 octane?
safe to use in turbo s4 fc?
thanks |
No.

91 or better.
|
It is safe if your car is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT BONE STOCK. Mazda does recommend 87 for the T2.

Definately want to stay with the premium. If you don't, after a few tanks the car will not be happy.
|
Stay with 93 man, your way better off not even chancing it. I wouldnt even use 91
|
Would the 104 Octane booster be even better? Or is not always more of a good thing a better thing?

you might get 89 octane after that "booster" it has been proven before. best bet, use pemium fuel, why take the chane of detonation and destroying you engine. |
premium is always the best

i use premium on my N/A
its not that much more ^_^ |
rotaries that are non turbo make more hp with 87 octane than with 91 or 93.
|
Hella, why not buy 87 octane and start paypalling the difference to me?
That way you pay the same amount but don't waste any money! |
I wouldn't bother getting much higher than the recommended or you're just gonna waste money, but don't go under the recommended.

thats not what the owners manual says. lol it says 87 octane for the N/A and pemiumfor the T2. even the car has a sticker on it that says pemium only.
I have two owners manuals one from an 1989 TII and another for and 1987 and they neither say that it is required to run premium for turbo. Both say 87 or higher. If you have any mods done you may want to run 89 just be safe. |
A stock turbo II is designed to run on 87. Anyone who says different is a liar.

DO IT! |
god damn man everything on here turns into an argument.
Run premium in your turbocharged car. That shit is a no brainer mate. Sure there are a hand full of doug funnies on here that say its ok, but youll have that in any subject..... You know, the whore that told you she was "on the pill", or the dousche bag that told you "the cops dont watch THAT road". Id just play it safe and spend 3-5 more dollars on a tank of gas.. is 3 dollars or whatever really worth it? comeon. and as far as what anyone or anything from 1987 told you, id pay no attention to. Id use the following 20 years of testing people have done as opposed to the mazda magna carta you found in the glovebox. |
