86 fc turbo swap

i have an 86 fc non turbo. im swapping an s4 turbo motor into it. im having a little trouble with the wiring. im trying to use the na harness. it looks like the only difference is the knock sensor wiring. can i make this harness work? i have the jdm turbo harness but it is cut up. i have a us turbo harness but it is in really bad shape. what is my best option. i have a jdm and usdm turbo ecu. help me finish this project, i want to drive it!

thanks
michael

The n/a harness can be made to work. There's plenty of threads on this already. I was in a similar situation as you with my car. For me, it was easier to repair and use my hacked up usdm turbo harness than it would have been to make the non-turbo harness work properly. I have all the emissions and unnecessary stuff removed though. Sounds like either way is going to take a little work but it gets less intimidating the more time you spend in there. Good luck with it!

This will assist you if you haven't already seen it.

I'm going to have to agree with benjdmin. You fixing up the USDM Turbo2 wiring harness would be your best bet. With the N/A harness you have to add some wires (not sure which ones off the top of my head). Also I'm pretty sure regardless of what harness you use, you will still need to run an aftermarket boost gauge but I've ready so many things on Turbo2 swaps that after awhile my brain blends things together.
