86 FC Grounding

A friend of mine that knows more about the rotary engines than me suggested that i check all grounds on car and make sure they are good to take sand paper and replay all grounds. I am haveing issues with rough idle and no acceleration. This is my first rotary. So my question was if anyone had a comprehensive list or pictures of where all the grounds can be found in the engine bay to do as he suggested? I payed 600 and drove it home 85 miles it is an automatic if that makes a difference.

your friend should've suggested a compression test first
rough idle is rarely associated with a bad ground, acceleration yes, the ECU ground for the secondaries gets corroded and doesn't let them kick in. also, you have an automatic, don't expect a ton of acceleration :lol: do a compression check, if that checks out double check your spark, also make sure the plug wires are on correctly |
sry i should have already mentioned compression check is already done and was fine. My bad i should have mentioned that but forgot. all plugs are fireing and are new along with wires i have already replaced that also, and i know that it wont have great acceleration being an auto but when it literaly takes 40 seconds to hit 60 mile an hour then runs perfect afterwords something isnt right...

Check your timing, and while you are under the hood look for any wiring or other modifications that aren't stock. It is possible that someone screwed with it in the past and broke something.
