4 barrell carb jetting question ?

he guys i have a 69 510 datsun that i did a motor swap to it. took out the old motor and put a rotary 13b. since i like the way the rotary sound and run there fast little motor , since i have a 83 rx7 with a 12a, and it runs like a champ. well back to the 13b everything is done already. i put a kit from racing beat that has a holley 600 cfm 4 barrel carb that is a direct bolt on kit. but the car runs roughs. 1st and the 2nd gear it backfires alot. the car has a 13b witch is stock with a litter flywheel from racing beat the 4 carb kit from R B ,and full R B full header racing exaust. can u please help me , and im wondering if that also the reason im getting alout of fumes inside the car ? lol.

what yr is this 13b? if it's a late model that ran a cas and u swapped in a dist, make sure the timing is right, plug wires going to the right plugs, etc. outside of some fine tuning, those carbs should run fine right out of the box.

sometimes during shipping, the carb is flipped around and shook around, sometimes the needle and seat stick or a check valve sticks, you can take the butt end of a screw driver and light but firm, tap the tops of the bowls to free them up. Also, verify your float level is correct and fuel pressure correct.

yes i try getting the holley re-jetted that didn't work so, the guy that sold me the motor told me it was a 6 port, so i wanted to find out for my self not realy knowing about rotary's my self i know they make a 4 & 6 port motors. well i found a guy that is a rotary guru and offer to help, thank god?LOL LOL. so it turns out that i have a rebuilt 4 port motor of a 3rd gen car with real low compression rotors, that's why the car idle rough and it would do over 60 on the freeway. he said get a turbo and he will help slap it on or just get a 6 port motor

well a 3rd gen 4 port with a holley that is tuned would make more power than a 6 port.
