1jz vvti swap 1982 fb rx7

i have tried searching on here and other plat forms but i have not been able to find any information on it. Im sure that somebody as done it by now. i recently bought another fb and it has the engine pulled out of it already so instead of reinstalling it i have access to a 1jz engine that i would like to swap into it. Im just wondering if it is possible to do without having to do any cutting to the firewall. and if there is any support for such swap like a mounting plate for the transmission and things like that. if anyone has any leads on this please let me know. Thank you

yeah i havnt found anything on this and i have been searching swaps for the last couple days. its to the point where im wondering what engine i can swap in that is fuel injected and isnt going to be a nightmare to swap in

well nothing will be direct bolt in, but pretty much any swap is doable provided u have the mechanical, electrical, fabrication and welding abilities to accomplish it. so be sure to start a build thread so we all can follow the progress. if i were doing it i wouldn't need any of that v v t crap and keeping it simple, only what's needed. like my current setup.

Welcome to the board. :)

Here's a 2JZ swap: https://www.rx7club.com/other-engine...e-swap-751161/

Most photo links are deceased, but there are a few at the bottom that might get you some visuals.

A video:

These guys look like they would deal more with the FD, but you can never have too many resources with a project like this. So here -->: https://www.tech2motorsports.com/

Wire harness resource (again, revolves more around the FD, but may help you): https://www.wiringspecialties.com/rx...wiring-harness
