1994 rx7...repair turbo before sale?
 

I own a 1994 rx7 turbo automatic with 70k on odometer and 30k on a replacement engine installed in 1998. (the year I purchased the car) Body is in almost perfect condition, repainted in original red with clear coat in 2014. Everything on the car is stock. The turbo needs replacement but I would be inclined to sell as is. Any thoughts?

My thought is IF you intend to sell it then post it in the appropriate section.
Be aware that ANY attempts to use sections for any other usage besides what the Section TITLE states they are for will result in immediate action being taken.
IE: trying to sell cars or parts in TECH.

I just want to add that a working car will fetch more than a half assed running car,so really if the turbo is worth buying to boost the value of the car to the point where you make considerable profit then it would be a no brainer to replace it.

There is really no "repairing" the twins. You replace with new or used. Buying used turbos is a bit of a gamble unless you REALLY trust the seller. Either is a pretty labor-intensive job. IIRC, new stock twins are about $2000. With labor about $3000 installed.

How bad are they? If they don't work, you need to replace them. If they are somewhere between brand new and don't work, you may just want to leave as-is and adjust your sales price accordingly. The new owner can then fund to their wishes.
