1993 RX7 bottoming out

I've got a question here that you guys may be able to help with:

Whenever I go over a steep road transition or the bottom of a steep hill, the front left side of the car bottoms out (or rather, the tire hits the bottom of the wheel well).

Since I wanted to lower the car slightly anyway, I had the springs changed out hoping that would fix the issue. It did not. What is the next step / most likely cause of the issue? Shock, strut?

Thanks!

I would be leaning toward saying that the shocks are defective

I would have to agree with this.... Its not just springs that help with the ride its the shocks as well... Check them, as well as check ur stabilizer links... Might be a broken one...

What wheels are on the car?
What size tires?
What kind of shocks are on the car?

Another thing to look at would be the bump stops. If they're toast, you'll get that wonderful sound as well.

Doesn't normally apply to the FD since it is integrated into the stock upper shock mount.

Ahh, ok. I wasn't sure how close the FD suspension was in design to that of the Miatas where it can be a problem.

Stock, stock, and stock. Only thing not stock as far as suspension are the Tein S-Tech springs that were recently put on. But this problem pre-dates that.

Thanks for the tips everyone, looks like I'll have that shock absorber replaced.
