1993 FD project
so i purchased an FD off of craigslist about 2 years ago per impulse buy (DREAM CAR!!).
It sat for about 2 years while I've been getting my shit straight financially. only to find out it was previously owned by a member here https://www.rx7club.com/nw-rx-7-foru...-my-fd-563980/ mod list -Atkins Rebuilt w/ street port & w/3mm seals just under 10k (dyno'd 461rwhp at 18psi w/ TO4) -Apexi Power FC w/ commander -Apexi Pulleys (polished) -Polished PT63 -Polished IC pipes and manifold -Custom PHAMSPEED FMIC Core 26 1/2 X 10 X 4 -850 primary, 1600 secondary -HKS twin fire ignition -Dual Tial wastegates -Koyo radiator -4 inch Apexi Dunk exhaust -XS RFL BOV (x2) -Custom Cold air intake duct to compressor housing -Greddy Profect Boost controller - -Magna Fuel pump -ACT 6-puck clutch -Engine Damper -Fan mod -pettit racing AST these are the mods done by the original owner i have found the car has no o2 sensor, the turbo seals and bearings are shot. the fuel system is a hackjob, the cooling system is a hack job, and the wiring harness is basically 2 wiring harness butchered together(not blaming him because another owner bought it before it got to me) so far, I have ordered these parts to replace all known needed, and found to be defective parts: -Borg warner S362 SXE 76mm turbine with 4.21 marmon flange .88ar open t4 housing -cx racing lower intake manifold with single 4/6 injector fuel rail. -ry wire engine harness -basically all engine sensors, including wanna speed IAT, GM 3bar map. and innovate MTX-L O2 sensor, and koso NA dual EGT sensors. -The electic fan mod already done has a horrible wiring job and is attached to a switch next to the shifter, I am installing a thermostatic switch to remove this. This next weekend, i will be doing a compression test to make sure my apex seal are still ok. I have gone through the forums a bit, and have a few questions i cannot figure out. 1)I am looking into A/I injection and would like to get some input of which water methanol kit i should run. 2)Does anyone know where i can get a base map for these injectors 3)Are there any experienced rotary tuners in the Seattle area. 4)Does anyone in the Seattle area know of a good exhaust shop who could weld in twin EGT bungs into my turbo manifold, and change the v-band on my down pipe and weld a marmon flange instead (I would prefer not to modify the turbo) 5) How to run 6 injectors with an Apexi PowerFC. 6) Does anyone know Which AN fitting for the borg warner, and where to source the parts. ( I'm sure i can find some online, but where would you guys recommend to source them) Any and all advice would be appreciated, i want to get the engine running safe and strong, before i work on the rest of the car. I have a few wheel and suspension question for later but getting the car running reliably is the goal for now. |

I see you ordered parts BEFORE a compression test. -Haha yeah i got a little gung ho, but i believe i have saved enough to not worry for the mean time, I'm ordering everything i find to be defective. and I'm fairy confident i don't need seals via the way it drove when i bought it, but i wanna be sure and have the whole engine set up properly before i tune it. |
