Congrats!

Do you find it useful or is it typical of most factory manuals with obscure references to tools such as "Mazda Gizmodo Tool #14"?

It is extremely useful! It's probably help someone doing a rebuild, it does that kind is stuff step for step with instructions, that also goes for alternator, ect.. But over all a great book! Well worth the money

Before you dedicate a lot of time to scanning them in, the fsm's are available online.

Personally, I like having a paper one handy.

Your enthusiasm has been noted, though. :icon_tup:

Had a question about the online manuals vs. the printed ones that can be found on Ebay. The online ones such as the ones at foxed.ca and other sites seem to be for 1989-1991. I found several on Ebay that are 1991 specific. Is there a benefit to going to the 1991 manual for my '91 vert? There seems to be some differences in the model years. I am new to this, so any help would be appreciated.

S4's are from 86 to 88 while S5's are for 89 to 91 thus if you look at the online S5 version it ought to be the same for all S5's although there might be minor differences between years as it relates to wire colors.

Rotaryheads.com also has the manuals. they are pretty good scans, so you can keep printing them out and getting grease all over them. The factory wiring diagrams are a little messy though. I havent found a good S5 one.

Thanks for the info. I have noticed a few inconsistencies, such as a lack of speakers under the dash in my car, where the manual shows them. I'm looking to overhaul the complete audio system, because I get no sound for the stereo. I don't see any speaker mounts, and have no reason to think that the previous owner altered it (everything else is stock). For now I just need a new dimmer relay, but I'm having a tough time locating one.
