hello there i am from tassi but i now live in sa.
regarding dropping in a 13bt into the series 2 i dont think it is legal the only first gen you can legaly put a 13b in is a series 3 and sourcing motors ect go see lawrie williams in devonport at rotech automotive he has built me a few exelent motors in the past he will get you on the right track my 13b bridge port he built me was fucking awsome

thanks for the advice mate and yea we use lorry all the time. can u at least turbo a bridgeport motor in a s2

turbo 12a bridgeport kick ass really smooth power i was going to do that as well and use a series 5 turbo set up you can get a plate that makes the manifold bolt up but i decided against it and went and got a cosmo turbo front cut but yea the turbo bridge 12a is a good idea you will have to run a moderate boost level if you dont have lower compression 12a turbo rotors you are so lucky lawrie does exelent builds at the best prices i have seen he realy knows his shit and is a top bloke to boot he is there to build exellent motors for his customers with none of the hype and over priced bullshit some of the other shops use to fund there own projects good luck with the build with lawrie on your side its going to be a kickass motor with no head aches during the build and it will last a long time.ROTECH AUTOMOTIVE ALL THE WAY

still check with the rta i think its a power to weight thing that makes it illegal if its a savana it will be ok but a normal series 2 is a no 13b zone there is a good thread on ausrotary about this i would check it out before going 13b or pick up a series 3 and get a lsd rear disk breaks standard

alrite then mate thanks a heap for the advice

theres no lsd in any australian delivered Gen 1 rx-7.

I also disagree somewhat about a 12at bridgeport being smooth power. I would suggest a 12at if you wanna go that way, but a 13b import block is the best option when you ignore legatity. The price of a refreshed 13bt import block is going to be the cheapest way of making the car reliably fast.

yea im gonna look into putting a series 4 motor into it but thats a while away need to make things strong enough to handle one first
