13B T Swap

So I am having my vert towed to Lucky 7 Racing to have the final steps performed on my recent 13B T swap that I performed by myself, which is my first swap ever. I would like to install a turbo timer, but I cannot find a harness that is still in production. Does anybody know where I can purchase a wire harness for the S4? I would like either an HKS, or Blits FATT Harness.

Thank you

Why do you want to install a turbo timer? Unless you have downgraded the car, the OEM turbo is water cooled so there isn't a need to let it cool down. Unless of course you are in a situation where you are at wide open throttle for an extended time then immediately park the car.

There are only two wires typically on a turbo timer, plus ground. You don't need a harness because you can just make one easily with spade connectors, since that's what the stock harness uses.

Idk That

Thanks for the information, I figured it would be good to use a turbo timer so the oil on the turbo bearings would cool down better. I have plans to use a Canton Turbo After Cooler, with a turbo timmer. I read in a very old issue of Turbo Magazine that it is good to let na and turbo engines cools down after long drives, hard drives, that shutting the enginen down not giving it time to cool down is not good.

Very old information is just that....very, very old and out of date.

I had to Google to find out what a "canton turbo after cooler" is. It is a huge waste of time and money on a stock turbo. They are water cooled, specifically to avoid the situation of oil coaking and hot shutdowns. You don't need to bother with anything to take care of the the turbo unless you were beating on the car minutes before shutdown.

Ok

Thank you for the clarification. I remembered reading that artical back when I had my first TII in 1998. Canton parts are geared more towards track cars, so it makes sence not to use their parts on street cars. Now I can use that for the turbo after cooler money towards something else on my car.
