Hi everyone. I´m new on the forum and joined up because of an interest in rotary engines, particularly the 13B. So much so, that I choose the 13B-REW as my CAD project for my Mechanical Engineering degree.
Has anyone ever done a realistically detailed rotor in CAD? I´m having a bunch of trouble finding out the dimensions for the oil control rings (o-rings, silver, and copper ones), for the Apex seals ( I choose to do them in 3mm, but I only know that dimension), the Apex seals spring´s dimensions, that bearing looking thing on the rotor´s backside (backplate? idk) and the center ring of the rotor itself (it's a copper looking metal, I´d appreciate if anyone could tell me what that metal is). I have looked for at least 3 days now and can´t find anything about those parts they´re the parts I´m missing to finish my part of the project, so help would be greatly appreciated.
I am attaching a .zip folder containing my current progress with the rotor and some photos that show the Apex seals and the back of the rotor to try and illustrate what I was talking about. The folder also contains the .pdf book "Rotary Engines", by Kenichi Yamamoto, who is the man that made the first commercially available rotary with the Mazda Cosmo and the 10A engine.
Thanks in advance.
