13B REW, I need some know-how over here
 

Okay, so I have an 87 FC and I already purchased a 1994 13b rew block for $1500. I wonder if this was an okay purchase for the amount i bought it. The condition is that the motor runs and has been garaged with only 70k miles.

Also, I bought a t2 trans and diff for $700 altogether. I thought this was a great deal?

I just want to know how much you think I should be paying for a Semi p Port Engine rebuild should run me, + I am loking to calculate the other parts im going to need just to get the Motor to be able to run N/A ( because im just going to break in the motor before I put a turbo on it; planning on going borg warner)

For instance:

Recommend me a clutch

Oil lines, gas lines fuel pump, intake manifold, etc. the works!

why are you wondering if it was a good deal if you've already bought it?

Have you figured out how to mount that engine in an FC chassis yet?

Depends what your going to use the car for?
if your going to only drive the car mainly on weekends I recommend a button clutch for a bit of fun.
Oil lines: either braided lines or factory
Fuel pump: if your going to run the stock 13b rew the stock fuel pump will be fine, or if your going to build a semi pp see what pump your engine builder recommends.
You can break a motor in with a turbo, you'll only be recommended to rev it out to a certain rpm and maybe told to not go over a certain speed till the first 1000 kilometers (621 miles for you americans) then change of oil and filter, then a final dyno tune and your set.
you won't know what parts the motor will need internally till you tear it down.

I'm curious on what is usually spent on these parts

We have someone that makes an engine cradle for it to mount to the fc

Personally I wouldn't recommend buying engines without hearing them run and doing a compression check. Otherwise I'd rather see and buy the individual parts and put my own together. Even assuming 70k is true, there could be a lot going on inside.
So fab work just to put it in your car. And I don't think that engine will mate up to the T2 transmission. Not certain, but if you check the FAQs in the 2nd Gen. section there may be information on if or how to make it work. A lot of money, time and effort, especially if you're intending to go N/A and only later turbo it. BTW, it doesn't need to be NA to break it in, and doesn't need a break-in at all if it's got 70 miles on it.
Seems like these are questions that should have been asked/answered beforehand.
