13b na carbed turbo

so i was thinking of trying this out with a holley 650db adding a carb hat fmic and a boost reference fpr.just wanted some opinions on what kind of fuel pump to run.i also plan on keeping stock ignition from my s5 since i will be able to utilize my maf on the turbo stock crank sensor and my s5 omp. im already running in limp mode since air pump and emissions has been deleted if this could i figure the cost would be fairly cheap and id get the best of both world with the better ignition and easy tuning of carb and not spending an arm and leg for megasquirt or some other form of ems.

thanks for your input on the matter.

I would suggest NO.

Aside from the fact that carbs suck, your stock ignition will command dangerous timing under boost. There is no easy way to retard timing with the stock ECU.

Additionally to avoid limp mode you need the running metering oil pump and the sensors it requires (AFM, TPS, pressure, temperature, CAS). Sounds like a hot mess when combined with a carb.

Entry level MegaSquirt is $219. Then add another $100 for harness, Zeal board, etc. How much for the carb, boost prepping, conversion to low pressure fuel system, etc.?

thank you aron cake for your input so iv decided to try n find a low compression t2 engine with harness pretty much every thing and bolt every thing to my block. im not worried about the rest of the drive train do to fact my chassie is an 88 t2 with everything but the engine so i figured this could be done rather easy what you think.
