12A rebuild

Starting to make progress on my first rebuild, and was just wondering how much flaking on the rotor housings is acceptable for reuse. im not home at the moment to take pics and i hope i can reuse them without having to get new ones because as far as i know 12a housings are NLA =( any info is appreciated and if anyone has any tips for a first time rebuild i would be forever in your debt.

Thanks all in advance,
Josh

what do you mean by "flaking"? as in: the housing is oxidizing (rusting) to the point where it's shedding layers? Depending on your climate and the age of the car, *some* "block rust" is gonna happen, but if the pitting is real deep then your gonna have a problem.

Check out Rotor Housing Refurbishing | Goopy Performance

They can refurbish the housings for $300/pair. Results are very good according to the numerous threads on the subject.

I think it's about 3/8" thats considered acceptable for chrome flaking.
