R.i.p.

Some of you NOVA guys and some of the maryland guys to have seen my car and have seen how much money i unloaded into a n/a rx7 and how many miles i had on my motor....On may 7th I was driving back from a friends house helping him with his brakes when a ford escort made a left turn in front of me. I was doing a good 45-50mph when he pulled no more then 30feet in front of me. I just remember seeing his car then my steering wheels and feeling the backend lift up and slam into the ground. when i looked up and i can see under my CF hood i got out as fast as i could(i had just toped off my gas tank) .when i got out of the car the first thing the other driver said was ''i didnt see you'' how can you miss a LOUD bright red RX7 you can hear me coming from 300yards away....anyhow this is the aftermath.............

Wow, really sorry to see that. I know i've seen your car around at some of the meets.

RE Matsuda 05-09-07 07:53 PM

:crying: Terrible stuff... glad you're okay, and at least the most expensive item is still salvageable. See this as an oppurtunity to build something even better :bigthumb:

ZumSpeedRX-7 05-09-07 08:53 PM

glad you're okay; but im with Matsuda on this one. get the money from it, and build another one. sorry about your loss.

Wanna buy the T2 Shell?

John64 05-10-07 05:43 AM

What has his insurance company said? Does not look good!

HadaGSL-SE 05-10-07 07:27 AM

Damn man I hope your alright after that. I would suggest seeking medical treatment if you have any pain otherwise once your state that you don't it is hard to get the insurance to pay for it.

Sorry to hear that. Stick the motor in in the first gen you've got laying around and sell off the rest.

-Greg

Lt. Dan 05-10-07 10:12 AM

Jim hull probably has one or two of course, but if you're putting that into a first gen, why not just use the 12a tranny?

yea, kyle told me to give him a call, according to kyle it wont bolt up:-\, and if i heard correctly the gsl-se has closer gear ratios or something to that affect.....

ALL IN 05-10-07 03:21 PM

WTF! Damn, that sucks big donkey kong balls. It looks like your car got punch in the face. Glad you're fine, I know a place that will cheer you up. :wiggle: :wiggle: I'll stop by to check out the carnage when I get back in town. I think AC Slater is jinxing us, people been getting into accidents ever since he got his ride.

1POINT3 05-10-07 03:43 PM

oh and to everyone i would highly recomend gettin a strut tower bar if you dont have one already....i got a cheap freedom design one and powercoated it black. if i didnt have that im sure my legs would have probably been broken.

but my setup will be transfered into this.....

Allow me to crack an egg of knowledge...

All rotaries from 74+ have the same bolt pattern on the bellhousing. All NA RX-7s from 83-92 (including 12A) have the same clutch diameter (225mm). Just make sure to use your 13B flywheel and counterweight so its correctly balanced. The SE trans just has a taller 5th gear than the 12A.

Edit: ...and AC Slater is definitely bad luck :)

2FAST7S 05-10-07 04:54 PM

Wow, thats a hit...At least youre still in one piece

good luck with the project!

slater needs to get his broken helicopter(supra) back so the nova rx7 world can get back to normal.....i think its the rx7 gods do their normal population control, no more then 5 2nd gens at a meet...slater gets his GXL then eggnog hits a deer, matts car wont idle, i smash into a car, jays oil pan starts leeking like crazy....tell that dude with the black TII at chic-fil-a to beware

Moejoe 05-10-07 08:47 PM

Yeah definitely, it's one of the colors that's really sensitive to different light.
