Northeast Trackdays: Which are you attending?
Hi guys,
I never see other RX-7s at track days and I'm not sure if I'm attending the wrong events or if nobody uses these car properly (I know its not the latter because I see all these videos and threads about northeast trackdays that several FDs attended last year). How about those that will be tracking there cars post up info about which event they will be attending and when. We need not give a long list (you can if you'd like) but a post about 1 or 2 months before the event. Maybe we can get a few RX-7s together at events throughout 2011. Ryan I'll start out- Date: April 2nd Track: Lime Rock Park Run Group: HPDE 3 or 4 Organization: NASA NE Website: http://www.nasanortheast.com/ |
Great idea Ryan, I'll be sure to update this thread as I learn of 2011 track days. What's the story w/Limerock and the noise restrictions? I doubt I can get my FD on track there.

For the most part the sound limit is 89db unfortunately, however, one group (SCDA) has two unmuffled (no sound restrictions) events this year at Lime Rock. The first is on May 10th from 1PM-5PM and is for drivers that require no instruction (this is so they can have only 2-3 run groups which gives you the same amount of track time as a full day event). The second is on July 1st and will be a full day event that allows for novice or drivers requiring some instruction. Ryan |
Like Rich said, great idea Ryan.
I have nothing scheduled or in the works as of now, just working towards getting to a more reliable set up. Hopefully we can do an event with as many FDs as Monticello. What was it, 6? |
I'm trying for May, July and September track days . Money is tight... but would like to make limerock twice this spring/summer and the NJ tracks. All others too far :( Can't miss too much work either.

Count me in. Nothing set in stone yet, but I plan to make it to quite a few this year.

I would definetly go, I have yet to be on a track with the FD so I'll probably need some instruction.

I wanted to get a few track days in this year but I need to get a good dual oil cooler kit first. Last year I was getting at max 2 hot laps in before having to cool down for a lap. Constantly worrying about my oil temps and coolant temps kills the fun so I'm going to focus on getting that sorted out before signing up for any events this year.

I'm doing the two day/two track event end of June in NJ with the SCDA
bye bye brakes! I can't wait to see what gas will cost me that day :) |
