any new york 7 owners ever got this ticket? ts not a point or moving violation, but i have to go to court, what is the fine for this? y car is registerd as a collectors car in nj, and is leagal to my document from the dmv where they check it. im bringing the paper with me to court to prove it is. but just curious on what i might be paying if they are still dicks about it?

you cant just mail the money in and be done with it?

I got one a 2 years ago in Washington Heights. It's a summons, you have to go to court for it. No points are given. I changed my exhaust. Make sure you get a receipt stating that you changed the exhaust from the shop. Plead not guilty, give the judge your shop receipt and the case should be dismissed. No fine was given either. This was in Manhattan so I'm not sure if my case is relevant to the rest of the New York.

Of course an easier way is going to a shop, pay them to give you a receipt stating that you changed it (even though you won't) and your current exhaust can stay :-)

I got pulled over several times before for having a loud exhaust. Since then I changed it to a RacingBeat RevII and its very quite. No cop attraction.

i got one early this year yes u have to go to court. I have gotten the same one twice already.
Never got any points. I made a fake reciept for both times saying i changed the exhaust and never got charged anything lol.

I got one about 6 years ago (corksport ).

I ordered the silencer but they were out of stock. So when I went to court the first time, all I could do was bring an e-mail saying the part was out of stock. The woman just said "ok, come back in 3 weeks" and gave me a piece of paper. When I came back they asked me if I put the silencer in the muffler and I said yes. I had the papers but they didn't even ask to see them. The guy just told me I could leave.

So basically I think you can beat it.

here in bama ive noticed the loudest vehicles are the motorcycles with the open pipes, their reasoning for this is safety, lol, you can at least hear them if you cant see them? my problem with it is i live on a busy st and these assholes love to wind the motors out in every gear,if i was a cop id be giving them the tickets for the loud revs
