I actually think the stock vert seats are pretty comfortable, but I've got nothing to compare them to...I am trying to do 'restore' kinds of things when working on the car...

Makes sense. You know I'm not the kind of guy to leave things stock :D

Looks an awful lot like a Camaro and I don't have a mullet. Of course, I've owned several Camaros and I didn't have a mullet then either.
Anyone have a spare functional headlight switch for an S5? Mine committed suicide this weekend. Are S4 and S5 switches different? I can't remember what the one in my S4 looked like. |

wow! 555 pages strong!
cant stop... wont stop... take dat... (p. diddy) |
Hey Theo, where ya hidin' at? I need to raid your fb stash! I need a battery holddown bracket! I'm doing a interior color change too!
|
FINALLY!! My convertible's engine & trans swap is DONE! I drove it last night. It's a completely different vehicle with this internal makeover. Faster, smoother, no smoke at all, very tight transmission, and should get way better gas mileage. And just in time for my 12 hour shifts for LCROSS which get me home at 2am!
Mechanic found a solenoid missing - the vac had been just plugged up I think he said, and tps, fuel, and other stuff adjusted way out of whack to make it run. New motor has 102K on it (old one had 186K) and hasn't been abused ;) I also had them rebuild the trans since I got the install labor free with the engine install. New headrest speakers (thanks to Jason's work blog) already in, next for that are dash, door, and subwoofer speakers (8" sub gets a custom cab under the deck) Next up : new ragtop (the old one is REALLY shot!) LCROSS Launch is Thurs at 5:12PM EDT and can be watched at http://www.nasa.gov/ntv (I'm the flight software lead engineer and on the operations team). |

Hey guys. Long time no talk. Ive been crazy busy. So heres the update. Well my fd finally popped. Apex seal on number 1. So idk what were doin with that yet. On the other hand im prolly pickin up a miata here soon for a daily. Also ive convinced my shop to build a race/show car. Try this one out. 26b PPort N/A for now.... hehe... powered 1979 Corvette backed by a T56. Full cage, Full tube front end, With custom Coilover set all the way round. I know the description sounds like a drag car but were prolly gonna be doin more road race drifting type stuff for now. I mean dont get me wrong... it will go down the 1320 a couple times... lol BTW it WILL still be street driven.

I'm also a newbie on this forum and a Rockville, MD guy. I had a '84 RX7 SE and am looking to buy another one or maybe a 3rd gen twin turbo, preferrably a 94 or 95. Am gathering information now for a purchase later this year. Would like to know about events in the wash DC area.
thanks, norman |

|
I have no idea but I found a buyer for my rotary so I'll be pulling that out this weekend and pimpin' the beat up S10 while I start gathering parts for the engine swap :)

Anyone parting out an FC right now or been to crazy ray's recently? My headlight switch decided to not only melt itself, but the plug on the wiring harness too, so I get to replace the switch AND rewire the dash soon. Yay!!
Oh yea, it happened on the way back from Georgia, so I got to go the last 20 miles in the dark at 4am :) At least it still runs the same, so I guess the metal parts that fell out of the oilpan last week couldn't have been all that important :rlaugh: |

Awesome let me know what you need for it and if the plug/part of the harness is still attached. I only need a couple inches of wire so I can cut the old plug off and connect all the new wires. Once I do that, it'll be time to jbweld my turn signal switch because the switch bezel has broken mounting points for that switch and it bounces around lol
Oh and I figured I'd put up a couple pics of the 525ci Ford big block I had as a passenger on the trip. Just because :) |
you putting a big block in your 7?
|
Nah, I just brought the block to the machine shop and back when it needed some work. It belongs to another guy on the JPC team:
http://image.mustang50magazine.com/f...don_burton.jpg I am 99% sure mine will end up with an LS1 like the FD did. That 1% still wants to build another race car with it, but I would be too happy on the street with it so it'll most likely stay that way. |

I have the Harness and switch. If you wanna meet me somewhere ill give you my number and we can meet up and you can buy them off me for like $20 bucks. I'll plug it in to my car too just to be positive it works on my S5.
Shit also, I can't remember, was it you that wanted the stock Mazda sunroof deflector? The one inside the roof that pops up? If so we can grab that off. If it wasn't you... nevermind! lol |
