Been driving nearly every weekend since november (except when it snowed). Having some hot start issues but I'll fix them soon enough... waiting on some parts. Not bad enough that I can't drive though. No problems starting even when it's less than 30 degrees out. :)
Finally fixed my mystery coolant leak (it was the heater core! dripping on my feet!). Many years now... I can finally hop in and just drive. No worries. Except the screaming throw out bearing... wink wink ;) |

Damn you traded your bike when its almost time for riding season? I gotta get a bike this year, with or without getting my damn license i dont care lol.
I put it off last year cause i wanted to get my DD first, now i got it and i need to get a bike and im set. Will ride a 250cc, i dont even care anymore, i just wanna ride. Yeah like the commercial lol |
I am hopefully getting my 7 out of storage tomorrow as long as the rain holds out until tomorrow night. I have to do brakes and tires before my inspection so I figured with the nice weather its a good time to get a head start on that kind of stuff.

@1qwik7 yeah. I want to get a new zx10 anyways because im way too comfortable on the 6. And it would be nice to have something that came the way I wanted, instead of modding the shit out of it to make it look like what I want. I'll get a beater for this summer. You can always score a 6 with no plastics cheap.

Got my 7 out of storage yesterday. Got her a bath at Ernies on the way home. Everything seemed to be working great! Need to clean the inside and get her ready for the nice weather. Brakes and tires to go on soon! BRING ON THE SUN!

there could be a foot of snow on the ground next week and 25 degrees out
|
Well it is winter in NE so anything is possible as we have seen the past 8 weeks. Nothing really cooking here in central MA. But at least the 7 is home so I can do some preseason work.
|
So how about that weather? Yes... I know the hatch is open.
http://i879.photobucket.com/albums/a...C/54744da7.jpg Day off from work but I can't get the car in the garage due to the slippery snow. Saw a pu (no re) rolled over on my way driving home. Just yesterday I was sweating at one point with only a sweatshirt on! |

As far as the plastics, i think bikes look better with it, IMO. |

Yeah i've been looking at either an R6 or a gsxr600 only because i sat on both and they both feel comfortable. Thats what im going for is comfort, not the best bang for buck. I think ill be content with anything 600 anyway, power wise.

The best sports car winter in NE ever. First year I was able to drive all winter including Jan & Feb. We must be doing something right...

I think you will get bored, especially once you start hanging out with liter bikes. My first bike was a zx-11 bought it brand new and it was the best thing I ever did. Only other time I had a bike before that was a old honda cb550 I traded a kid a bicycle for. Cops busted me riding around at 14 years old and my dad whooped my ass and that was the end of that.
Im only 5'10 165lbs. Very athletic build. I think i would die in a zx-11. Plus im a beginner rider. I know how to ride, i just need practice for the everyday commute. Stop and go, highway. Sudden stop, uphills etc. Sometimes when i drive home from work, i think about me on a bike and its frustrating the type of people that im sharing the road with. It would be a bitch to be a beginner rider on the road at that time, rush hour etc. Thats why i want the most comfortable bike i can get, so it would be easy for me to get the hang of it. |

You're probably a lot bigger than me.

Nothing wrong with a 6... But a cb really isn't the same. It's a cruiser. If your bored on a real 6, then your not riding it like i do. :p All my friends have 1000's and I keep up just fine on the zx6r's I've had. They are light and easy to toss. I can easily lean it over and blow donuts like a dirt bike. Only reason I want a larger bike is for the low end torque to help on wheelies. It's a balance game when your at near redline, and bigger bikes have more play since your at a lower rpm. Otherwise, sixes are just fine. :)

Ahhh, of course. Now we are on the same page. It's like how I wasted a ton of money until I bought my dream car (t2). Should have got it back in high school. Lol
