Well, as it turns out, my in laws no longer want to store the car at their house for the amount of time I am gone, nor do my brother in laws want the hassle of having to drive the car weekly/monthly, or at all. :(

Further making the this whole situation worse, is the fact that the wife will be getting a new car when we return sometime in 2018, and that new car will not be parked outside. Which doesn't leave me with any other choice, but to sell the RX-7. :icon_tdow

I know putting the car in storage would be an option, but it all boils down to the garage space. Making a two car garage into a three car garage takes a bit of money and labor, and it still would probably drive my wife mad, having to side step and bend in order to move around a 4 post lift. If it would even fit...

So, after I return from this lovely trip in the desert, I'll be listing the car in the 3rd Gen section. Hopefully I can get a good price for her.

This sucks.

That blows man :(

Yeah, I'm pretty pissed at the in-laws, to say the least....but I guess it saves me the hassle for when we do return to the States.

At least the wife is cool with me hanging on to the money from the sale to use for another sports car, some time down the road.

Just hoping for a good price.

Mike, I thought Ihor had made an offer to help out. Does that help at all?

Would hate to see you sell such a beautiful FD :(

DO you have a four post lift already? If you do, do you have enough room to just lift the car up and store it that way and park your car underneath?

Rich: Ihor made an offer to store it either at his place or the shop free of charge, but it still doesn't solve my issue when we return in 2018, with "her" wanting the new car in the garage. It basically comes down to me having one too many toys.

gschott: I do not have a four post lift, as that was something I was hoping for in the distant future. I am confident that my 12 foot ceilings would be enough to allow for two cars, but it boils down to left over space to park the SUV in the other garage spot.

I know there comes a time when some of us choose to sell for whatever, and maybe it's just that time for me...

At least I can hold onto the money, invest it for a good amount of time and hopefully buy another 3rd Gen (3 rotor/LS/JZ) or something else from that era of awesome cars!

Well, for a week or two it looked like I was going to be able to store the car while I was gone, but that option hit a wall...so here I am again, faced with selling it.

I have not listed it yet (typing that word document now), but if anyone is interested.....

You know what to do.

I wish it were that simple, but this situation is a bit more complicated...:icon_tdow

Well folks, I listed the car for sale. Go check her out in the 3rd Gen for sale section.

Maybe I can get her to a good home.

Mike
