Engine rebuild closest to MA

Hello everyone, I own a 3rd gen fd that just reached 101k and that has never had the engine rebuilt. I just bought a big ol' single turbo but have had starting problems when the engine is hot, so last night I ran a compression test and to my disappointment. The rear housings read 60psi amd the front ones 70psi.
Pretty low huh?
Makes me surprised that the car still runs reliably on the stock twins but at same time answers many questions including the why it won't start when engine ia hot.

So I'm in the market for a built 13b or considering having mine rebuilt, which would take time, and im an impatient person.

But who do you know in the New England area, competent and capable.of a rebuild?

Thanks

What, if any, kind of porting are you looking to have done during the rebuild?

Luis Rivera at Wankel Works does good engine work. His shop is in Natick. He's going to be building my next race engine.

No he doesn't. I drove my car to him to swap out my blown twin turbos when I first got the then had to get it towed back home from his house cause he did the vacuum lines (rats nest all wrong), then he goes and tells me "I only know how to install new parts and single turbos/manifolds. Then we argued and he went on to call me a broke *** Lynn dude with an automatic fd.
Well, now. Less than two years later... my fd is already 5 speed, I've a nice single turbokit coming in waiting install and ima buy me a bad *** engine.
So **** Louis Rivera.. tell him to keep working on his faggoty *** rx-8's. In his fake *** wankerworks shop
Tell him Bert said that too.
Thanks.

You've got one of the best in your backyard, IRPerformance. I don't think a single person on here has a bad thing to say about them. Your mind can be at ease with your car in their hands.

Hate to necro the thread but I also had a bad experience with Wankel Works I'd like to share

the following is copy-pasted from my Facebook

I contacted lui early spring 2016 to rebuild my engine that had a chipped Apex seal, he said he could do it right away with about a 3 week turnaround time he quoted me $7,000 for engine removal and install, the rebuild, re lapping plates, solid dowels, rotor balancing, the port job a few other engine odds and ends ( lots of which I was charged for but didn't get done ) and a tune. In late fall 2016 after many excuses and having a local shop owned by his friend mistakenly paint the car the wrong color I received the car back to put break in mileage on it before a tune. I put a thousand super soft miles on the car staying under 4K RPM and never once built positive boost. Car ran like absolute s*** this whole time but Louie said it was because it was a rough break in tune and the car needed to be broken in to build a little compression ( some truth to this with rotarys ) I changed the oil four times in the first thousand miles then luis came up to tune it on the street and blew this engine up likely due to an over boost condition but he told me he would cover it ( obviously knowing at the time about the completely janky port job I'm honestly surprised it ran for the thousand Miles it did for break in) and later told me he rebuilt it once only for it to have a stuck side seal so he said he'd do it again. After 2 years of excuses and a next week pickup date that never came I told him I needed a deadline to pick the car up either complete or incomplete with a refund he called me flipping out had the nerve to tell me it was "his car" because of the time he's put into it and told me he wouldn't finish it and wouldn't refund me. I went to pick it up late 2018 in pieces but with the motor claimed to have been freshly rebuilt and ready to go ( supposedly for the third time ) as you can see he likely pulled the drain plug after the failure in 2016 saw the bearing material plugged it back up and strung me along for two years. He also stole my power FC ECU and Commander and a complete snow water meth kit and hasn't returned calls or texts or messages since I picked the car up

3 yrs later. IRP takes the cake. Best money i ever spent on my fd, mr ****** works in milford mass sucks, primespeed definitely will take your money on an hourly basis based on how they gauge you, instead of.looking for.your best interested as a customer, mr SMG racing in r.i built me an engine that lasted 5k miles before it started passing oil out the pan/block seam. Id rather pay 5-7k for an.engine.amd know i can drive that bitch home to wherver u.s.a than dealing with them other backyard garage *** mechanics.
