This probably wont get me anywhere, but does anyone happen to know of any dealers that have FD's on their lots currently? or do once in a while?

Thanks.

if you are just looking for financing get a bank to help you, or get a person who writes loans, but expect to pay a hefty premium in interest rates.

They do turn up on lots from time to time.

Yeah, thats my problem, with the person willing to co-sign(due to my lack of credit history) for me has shitty credit and we did get approved for a FD through a private seller for a very hefty price.

but i have ties with a loan company that will work with a dealer and give me their APR.

If that makes sense.

if its Capital One, forget it.

Are you sure the loan company knows the car will be more then 10 years old?

And not to sound like a preacher, but a very high interest rate and a loan on a FD that in reality might need a engine before your loan is up could be a big financial burden when you also factor in the insurance.

If you know a used car guy, see if he will process the paperwork for you if you find the car by yourself, usually they will do it for a fee.

No it wasnt capitial one, and yes this company knows the car is over 10 years old, they said it doesnt matter, but they only deal with dealerships not with people.

And why do you think i didnt buy the fd with that crazy high interest rate? im not stupid, im not paying 300+ a week for an fd.

look in the bargen new and places like that, or call around. i think there was a red fd on a lot in milford over the summer, i think it was 15k. not 100% sure b/c my dad was telling me about it

Rob XX 7 12-19-06 04:23 PM

Im not saying your stupid, just the reality that a year into the loan you might be needing a engine.

www.cars.com
www.autotrader.com
etc

local search and filter out private sellers
dealers will list used cars of value on the internet

and i agree FD + car loan = financial disaster

Well, not everyone has 15k in cash laying around..and i can easily make the payments..

aznpoopy 12-20-06 04:53 PM

you budgeting for the payments...

but don't forget to budget for full coverage (which you need on a loan)
FD maintenance, including reliability mods
and a rebuild, minimum

I dont mean to be rude, but this is not a "Discuss if FTC can afford an FD or not" thread, look how long ive been here, i am fully aware about the fd, i know you guys are probably just doing it trying to look out for me. But it's uneeded, trust me.

Go to a credit union, they are probably one of the fewest banks that will hand out a loan that big for you with low interest rates.

I helped my friend get into that bank cause she wanted to buy a car under the dealer which wanted to charge her 15.5% interest or some shit cause her credit wasnt great. She signed with the credit union and got 8% and they loaned her 12k.

RX7UP 12-24-06 10:34 PM

www.carnu.com They get FD's all the time. Give them a call. At one time they had 5 on their lot at the same time... Maybe you can place an order with them...
