Any one wanna give me a ride?
Hi guys, I'm looking for some one that wouldn't mind giving me a ride in their FD. And maybe even let me drive it so I can feel how the trans works and what not. I'm in the central/western maryland area. I know this is a far stretch to ask people you don't know, but I'm hoping for the best.

i dont get it. why do you need to drive to see how the trans works ?
it works like any other transmission |
shift feel clutch feel, also how the car generally drives. Since I'm considering buying one. I could be a dick and just go test drive someone's who is selling to just drive it, but I figured I would be polite about it. And all manual trans don't feel the same.

I'm missing exactly what you are trying to figure out here why not find one you'd consider buying and check it out if it drives the way you like buy it.
and most 3rd gens have been modified so "clutch feel" will depend on the previous owners taste. for instance my sprung 6 puck with extreme pressure plate will not "feel" like a stock cluth or even an extreme p/p with a street/strip disc. and as far as "shift feel" its the same in every 5spd sports car ive ever driven. Maybe if you were more specific like looking for ride in stock fd, single turbo Fd, something along those lines, but I dont see anybody handing the keys over to a random joe to drive their FD unless they had cash in hand to buy it, My wife does'nt even drive my FD. |
Come up to NJ and I'll give you a ride you won't soon forget. You're not driving though.

You sound like a joy rider OP.

If I still had my FD, I'd let you drive it. I used to love letting other people drive my car. FD's are a blast.
