2007 Rx7 ?????

2007 Rx7

Hey Rx7 Fans Out There, I Heard That Mazda Will Bring Back The Rx7 In 2007. Well Those Are The Rumors.. I Don't Know If They True Or Not But As Far As Modified Magazine And Super Street That's What The Rumors Are.

GoodfellaFD3S 09-29-05 01:16 PM

did some chick contact you on aol aim to post this for her? I told her to do it herself, lol.

I've noticed lately, and from a lot of people to hold up this hear-say, that the RX8 was never to be a continued RX7. It is it's own model. And Mazda has always had plans of bringing back the RX7.. supposedly they got the idea with the huge love for the Spirit R, so expect it to have a stock factory aero package :)

ha, good luck getting a turbo rotary to pass OBD-II standards

muythaibxr 09-29-05 02:02 PM

From what I've heard, it's not going to be turbocharged....

Whizbang 09-29-05 02:14 PM

then the thing better be a 3 rotor.

Fd3BOOST 09-29-05 03:22 PM

I'll belive it when it I see it on http://rotarynews.com/
Until then it's just speculation.

adrock3217 09-29-05 03:54 PM

Think of it this way, in the lineup of how rotaries have expanded throughout the RX7 lineup. 12a, 13b, 13bt, 13btt..theres no where to go but UP, as the motor lineup has never DECLINED in power, or size, throughout the life of the 7. Either it will be a 13bttt, or 20b. There is really no way around it. If Mazda follow's suite of it's past, then the first 20b will be N/A. Further down the road (later series) it would possibly gain a turbo.

muythaibxr 09-29-05 04:25 PM

the last time someone brought this up, it was going to be a 300 horsepower 1.6 L 2 rotor.

If mazda does make an announcement, 2007 is the first official timeframe since the tokyo auto salon event is in early 07. But a lot of other manufacturers will be making their announcments as well, such as the official unveiling of the skyline. Does mazda steal some of that spotlight and make an announcement then or do they wait and see how the market shapes up? Could be good and it could be bad. If they decide to wait, the next TAS is in 09 since the show is every other year i believe.

thats what i heard too. instead of goin turbo or 3 rotor theyre gonna make it like a 16a (or maybe 17a) n/a engine. thats what i remember seeing anyway. think of that boosted.... oooooh yeah

afgmoto1978 09-29-05 05:40 PM

I bet you it's going to look similar to this.

adrock3217 09-29-05 07:37 PM

I would be all over the RX8 if it had a shorter chassis, and was 2 seater. Making it a family car, Mazda, fook j00.

the last time i heard it, someone said a 1.6 l 2 rotor with an electric turbo hahaha :D

honestly, it wont happen, they wont be able to compete with its competitors..they have to really make the engine powerful and bulletproof..

SayNoToPistons 09-29-05 09:29 PM

according to rotarynews. chances of a rx7 within 2years is 10%. and that sucks. probably a more powerful updated rx8 (according to car&driver). wtf is mazda going to do with Nissan (Infiniti) releases the Skyline GT-r (G35coupe with agressive body kits and 400whp or something..) in 07?! NoOOoo!

CokeRx7 10-02-05 01:15 AM

To me mazda is like Nintendo.. they wait to see how things fall then release their stuff... May even go back to the old drawing board and make the 8 a two seater turbo..

SayNoToPistons 10-02-05 11:01 AM

and whats with the bubble butt spors cars lately? new Z cars, rx8, eclipse, G35, etc all have bubble butts! i hate bubble butts!

CokeRx7 10-02-05 12:36 PM

I like bubble butt girls

adrock3217 10-02-05 01:46 PM

If Mazda follow's its own words, it will not look much like the RX8 at all. Notice, the RX3..4..7..8..look nothing alike. So they would keep the trend. Why would Mazda make a 1.6 or 1.7 liter engine, when they already have the housings, seals, etc for a 2.0 liter? That wouldn't make much sense, money-wise. They already have all the molds to BUILD a complete, 3 rotor, 2.0 liter rotary engine. Why waste time and MONEY, building a smaller, less competant motor? That doesn't make very much sense, let's think guys..

tIIsleeper 10-03-05 09:32 PM

Anyone hear about the GTR-34 skylines that are beimg sold in the U.S. Theres only gonna be 300 or so. Saw it in a magazine. I bet Mazda has a trick up their sleeve for an rx-7.

SayNoToPistons 10-03-05 11:13 PM

^ that is one ugly supped up Infiniti G35 though. it was on car&driver. its going to have "agreesive" bodykits and 400+hp and its going to be badge as an Infiniti. pretty damn ugly car.
