Wondering if any one has heard of a semi peripheral port only using the primaries? Thinking about making a port in between a full and semi port to compensate for the lack of secondary port. Looking at using a slide throttle for the peripheral ports but combining with the primary to 1 throttlebody. Transition I'm assuming will be tricky but most likely will control via the ecu table.
The other way to do the same thing would be to fill in the stock 2ndary port and make a waterjacket J-bridge port (a p-port that uses stock runner and enters at the side of the rotor housing instead of the center like a p-port).
This style could use stock intake set-up with dual throttle to do exactly what you want easily.
i have an Rx7 magazine with two NA FD setups in it. well three.
the first is an AR-F car, its running the 9.7 rotors and a bridge port, plus a hundred shot of nitrous. no HP numbers, but its probably 210-220rwhp without the nitrous.
the second is an earlier version of the housings and manifold blueT11 posted. this one has a small PP and uses all four side ports. again no HP quote, but
setup 3 is setup 2 with a turbo, and is over 800ps.
also there was the scoot FD, it used the same or similar semi PP housings and it was ~700ps@20 psi.

When someone starts out using an endmill in a drill chuck it makes me wonder about how advanced it really could be....

Well, that endmill chatter scene as the introduction probably wasn't the best production choice, but lf you skip to about the 16 minute mark there's a good open motor view to see the p-port location. The 4 rotor version seems like a more refined iteration of the concept. Both appear to share the same approximate p port location. This port location should provide the same benefits of more flow area and intake duration as a semi p port, but looks like it should have less exhaust/intake overlap. Excessive overlap seems to be the root cause of p port drivability issues, so there may be something to this idea. I'd like to see video of one of these motors running. I also wonder if someone would be able to estimate the port timing from the pictures or video.
Was looking at doing an oval p port higher up in the housing, to help with overlap as well. Think the angle he's pushing is extreme though. I'm really skeptical of him seeing the results he's talking about in the video's.
