Quick muffler question

I'm planning on getting a pair of aero 2540i mufflers to finish off my RB tru-dual system. My engines being rebuilt right now and will have a slight street port and a few other goodies. There's not much info on these mufflers and was wondering if anyone has tried them on a rotary??? Any feedback appreciated, thanks

i've never heard of those before, and i've never seen one. the worry with the rotary is that since the rotary exhaust is supersonic, its really hard on mufflers.

that muffler design could work though, its kind of similar to the intake on the SR71, Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia which is designed to keep the air intake to the engine subsonic

No one ever try these things???

Coming back 4 years later to add to my "quick exhaust question". Still have the same setup, RB header, presilencer, tru-dual y-pipe, 2 aero turbine resonators and those 2540i mufflers... This thing is ungodly loud. I put most V8's to shame with how loud this is and people on street bikes make room for me to go by... Sounds like a mixture of angry trumpet and really pissed off hornets.

Once again, just sucking it up and buying the Racing Beat exhaust system proves to be the cheapest route... since it's the only proven way to make a rotary acceptably quiet.

Quiet + rotary don't belong in the same sentence

I have a 2.25" magnaflow oval muffler, then straight into a 2.25" Magnaflow XL Muffler, 7" diameter and 31" long in the body, alot of people complement me on my exhaust note, but I am always driving, so I cant hear what it sounds like outside. I do however have more room than an RX-7 for mufflers. Last time I had the exhaust off though, it looks like the packing in both mufflers has disappeared, and the large XL muffler is rattling a fair bit, likely due to one of the baffles inside being loose. I am going to upgrade to 2.5" or 3" as I heard only the 2.5" and larger use the rockwool packing that barely holds up to the rotary exhaust heat. My first muffler starts 3-4' and 2 90 degree bends after my pacesetter header flange, and I have no cats.
