direct fire vs msd

I am curious which would be/do better.

I can wire in 4 trailing coils to get away from wasted spark, or use wasted spark with a crane Hi-6 cdi (multiple spark).

engine is a 6port half bridge N/A, w/ haltech. mostly street and drag.

getting rid of wasted spark is the biggest bang for the buck, imo

Forgive my newbieness, but how easy and is there a writeup on how to do this? I have a ton of good coils, so this would be interesting and help smooth out my higher rpm pulls.

the hard part is that you need an ECU with 4 ignition outputs.

the actual hardware is easy, you need the 4 coils, and 4 ignitors. or if you do Rx8/ls1 coils, you just need those.

also, what about using the 2 trailing coil asm as a direct fire? used with the toggle feature?

as not all of us have 4 ign outputs.

I am using a Megasquirt setup. I will need to figure out how to do this. What would I experience if I did this? A stronger high RPM pull? Cleaner running?
