motec boost controller

Hey peeps, I jave a 13b that i am going motec with and also buying the motec boost controller.
Now my question is my turbosmart wastegate has 7 psi springs and i want to run more boost so should i pay the money and change the springs or can i leave the 7 psi spring in and just bleed it through the boost controller?

What is the pros and cons of doing it that way?

The later model ECUs, MX00 and M84 have very advanced boost control strategies. It is better than 95% of the electronic boost controllers on the market. I would just use that. I can give you some basic setup and table axis to get you started.

Do you have a copy of your current map I can look at for RPM and MAP reference? I will need to determine breakpoints based of of that data.
