I saw your motor when John had it apart, it IS ported. Still, street ported or not is at most 10% power difference.

gohan's car made 380rwhp@13psi. I was having major issues with the haltech.
For some reason, the E8 was doubling the injector time I programmed into. So I spent some time trying to figure out why it was doing it. (still never got it figure out), so I just programmed it with 1/2 the injector time to compensate for the error. We ended up running out of fuel since his external fuel pump wasn't up to par so we had to stop (that was at 3am in the morning).....

I ended up with 1-1.5 hr sleep while flying back to texas and is working right now. So tired!!!!!!
Geez dude, at least you have the forum at work to keep you awake ... barely. Steve wins the "Trouper of the Month" award!

I guess I left at the right time ... watching those last 2 cars sounds painful.

We left the dyno at 4am, went to my house so Steve could take and shower and then we dropped him off at the airport. Steve has got to be hurting.

This weekend was a train wreck.

380 at 20psi? When was this?

Still supporting the con job shop I see. That's not a very good thing to do as the forum admin, Ryan. Also, stop calling me and others "forum-haters". You're way off.

The turbo is a John Deere Schwitzer S300 with a 1.00 A/R turbine housing on it, unmodified, with the part #'s scratched off. Your friend deceived people by way of false advertising. I make no apologies to that fact. Call me names all you'd like, forum administrator, but that's the truth.

Ooops...

"...it wasn't 380rwhp at 20psi -> it was 389 at 15psi with a conservative tune on pump gas before I did any race gas stuff with it. Get your numbers straight before you try and attack my credibility. I've never once posted 380rwhp at 20psi. And, if that were the case for some odd reason, what exactly would that say? Implying that I can't tune?"

Can you prove him wrong? Curious minds would like to know...

The AF61r is one badass turbo. That is the first time I have seen it in person and damn was it loud! Really though who cares if Garret, IHI, Greddy, or John Deer made the turbo, if it performs well then why argue about it?

Eric, you didn't get re-tuned this round?

*edit*
Next time I will be there! Probably..... lol. Man If I had, I dunno if steve would have been able to tune everyone.

Talking

I had a great experience on sunday!

Steve had a problem with my idle, but he seemed to get it down to a resonable RPM.

I made 360 @ 12 psi, as stated by steve. To be honest I was hoping for a bit more. somewere around 400. Steve said it was making 10 psi @3000 rpm, I have a gt4042. I was pretty suprised that it boosted this well. Unfortunatly, My injecters seemed to maxed out. In 2004 I made 340hp to the wheels on stock fuel system with a pettit ECU and bolt ons. I was pushing around 15 PSI though. I thought 1200/750 and a walboro fuel pump would be plenty of injector for 400 hp.

I have 10 ohm ceramic resisters on each injector. There was a 11.5 ohm difference between the the stock and RC injectors. Is this the wrong way to do this? Could this be the reason for the high duty cycle, or are the side feed injectors that more efficient?

Anyways,

I pulled out of the shop, filled up on 93, filled up tires to correct pressure and proceded to drive to Eureka springs AR. My cuz ws riding with me. I did a pull for him so he could feel what it feels like. I got to 7000 rpms and heard a pop like I hit a rev limit. Looked a the vac and it was reading around -10_-8 psi. I freaked out and pulled over into the construction lane in the middle of the bridge over the Miss. Yelled a little profanity (Cuz says alot), calmed down and popped the hood. First thing I checked was the MAP. Guess what, I blew the vac line off the map sensor . (PHEW!!!!) I then drove the car with out any problems for about 300 miles and arrived at my destination around 4:00 am monday. This was the first time I got some sleep since saturday when I woke up at 8:00am. I have driven it a little today, just to make sure everything is fine, and sure enough it drives better than ever! I love the feel of the single turbo.

Thanks to every one who organized and help out with this tunning session, Especially steve.

Brandon

Haha, well ... the thing is I really don't give a ****. Since it's our inside joke, and this is our thread, I didn't think you insecure babies would come looking for a fight.

Now get off the computer and pull your panties out of your asscrack.

Thanks for coming down Brandon! Your car looked great, especially considering the haste putting it together. And 360@12psi on stock ports is good no matter what!

Thanks, Ryan.

Any input on the injector resistance question?

Why do you have resistors on the stock injectors? And I thought the RC's were high impedance already ... I could be wrong but I wouldn't think you'd need any resistors. Even with the Bosch 1600's, you can run them without a resistor, it's just borderline to maxing out the injector drivers. Just like an amp, you can run below the 'advertised' minimum impedance, just give it some circulation and it will be fine.

Steve, thank you for taking the extra time tuning my car. This car runs crazy fast now. Even though I had some ignition issues you still made an amasing amount of power. At 17.5lbs 454 hp @ 6700 and 385 torque @ 6000. Next time you come I'll have it fixed, and we'll shoot for 21lbs. Thanks again.

I'll take that as a no......BDC doesn't seem to think you're joking however, so I question the "inside" bit....no need to be so bitter, though....I was just curious what you could find after you pulled the ultimate t-bone in that one GG/BG thread with the PM one of the "adversaries" claimed was never sent.

Talk about thin skin...

WTF are you talking about? This makes about as much sense as most of the drivel you spout in the DoO forum, so it shouldn't surprise me.

I finally recovered from this weekend. I wanted to thank Steve from tuxedo racing for hosting the event (what a trooper for staying so late with us). I also like to thank Eric for organizing it and put up with me all weekend.
Thanks to those who give me an opportunity to tune their car. I wish I could do more on some of those that had problems but time restrains limited my ability to do the best that I could. I'm sure I'll see you guys again soon.

Take care,

Steve

We'll have Steve come back again. Juiceh, Gohan3drift and Gary Hagner are already waiting for Steve to return. So now, it's just a matter of me starting a new thread.

This will be organized better. Meaning that, we will only plan for 5 cars a day or make it a 3 day trip.

Let me know if you're interested and I'll get this going.

I see no new HP number... I thought you were getting tuned again.

Or did you have to pass after grenading your transmission with the 2-step?

I decided not to get tuned since I haven't raced it with the current HP. If I still have my current RX7 by the time Steve comes back, I'll have him re-tune it for higher boost.
