I check out 7's Corner occasionally but wasn't aware of this FB. Have you set a date or place yet?

k_stringer27 06-12-13 02:15 PM

I'm in Fort Dodge, but my FD is all but gutted right now!

Sgtblue 06-12-13 04:47 PM

Planning on being in Ft Dodge in October for Cruise to the Woods.

k_stringer27 06-12-13 04:58 PM

Awesome! Always a good time! We'll have to meet up!

Sgtblue 06-12-13 08:08 PM

Yep. Be my third year in a row. I don't do the burn-out corners, but will row thru the gears on a full boost runs if there's room. Not many imports though.

I talk to a guy name brian at a car show, and he said something about your shop, I like to check it out but not sure where it is.

Unfortunately, I don't think the RX-7 guys are very organized in the area. Sick Auto and 7's Corner are going to be the best chance to get a group together.

If this is directed to me, I work on or help friends work on their cars from time to time, but my shop isn't really open to the public. And if this is the Brian I'm thinking of, take anything he says about working on a RX7 with a grain of salt.

Awesome, get it up and running. There can never be enough 7's around here.

CaptainKRM 09-24-13 11:24 AM

any chance we could get some interest in doing a meet here;

About

i'd make the drive from chicagoland

dfink 09-25-13 11:20 AM

I went to a presentation about the track. They very rarely open it. Like years between. It is private owned you can try but i doubt you get in. We were sitting at the banquet with the presenter so we got a little more info than some.
Just passing on info I would love to see it but was busy.

CaptainKRM 09-25-13 09:57 PM

Yeah that would be great, I sent an email inquiry to various people but it does seem like it would go nowhere

Is this Dave? Great! You should autocross it in SSM class. I always look forward to another competitor to race against. We should link up so I can check out the car.
