Need help press swapping a rotor bearing in twin cities.
Anyone got a tip on a shop that's able to do the job? Calling around all morning and its a no go. Even turblown says they outsource it to a place out of state. I need this done ASAP.

ANY machine shop should be able to do it, wouldn't think it'd be hard to find one

I have a press and a torch ;)
shouldnt be too hard.. admittedly have never done the rx7 bearings.. but probably will soon |
Just Google pressing rotor bearings and you should find some that will help. I know pineapple racing made a good one. Having the right size sockets or dies is the key. IIRC Akins sells SSTs for both rotor and eshaft. You want to use a small square to draw a line with a sharpie in order to align the tabs. No torch needed.
Edit... Found that pineapple vid... |

Shawn must have told you that. We actually use a different strategy on the builds we do, but I do have the rotary specific bearing press tools if you want to borrow them. I have units we have built here, and mass production units from pineapple racing. As mentioned any machine shop in town should be able to do it, usually around $50-100.
