Are you talk'n about FD?

thiasRx7 04-06-06 09:31 PM

Alright May 14th 12-3ish......I'll be there.

The directions from the map are good if coming from the north. If coming from the south (I 80) I would take I 380 north to HWY 30 (just south of town). Go west on HWY 30 to Edgewood Road. Then take Edgewood north to Ellis Park.

I hope a lot of people come. I cant wait to see all the 7s and meet everyone!

I am talking about the FD Jason.

rotarymarine 04-06-06 10:53 PM

Yay..I'll actually be able to go to an rx meet in Iowa. I'm moving from San Diego at the beginning of May and with any luck my 7 will be able to make it there without throwing up an apex. :) Either way, I'll probably be with c_mart_28.

Stix37867 04-07-06 12:04 PM

Still in my datebook. Just hope my 7 will last longer than 3 weeks at a time before something breaks.

It broke again last Friday. I think i lost a primary injector but still diagnosing...

Hey driftfc87,
If you don't have this done and you do it in CR then I could help you out. I have a '88 T2 that I just got done putting a new motor in. Let me know.

I should be in for the meet too. I've never been to one. Do you guys grill up lunch and everyone bring some meat and chips to share or what?

later,
-Brandon

IanS 04-07-06 05:19 PM

I think we all volunteered to bring meat, cookies, pop/beer, etc last CR meet. We should start a list of what we are planning to bring that way we dont end up having 80 hot dogs and no buns.

Thanks for the offer but i got jason coming down to do some fine tuning on it tomarrow so thats one more tii for the meet

ill bring hamburgers again

Sesshoumaru 04-08-06 01:37 AM

You end up only using 2 vac nipple from engine.

One for the FPR (use stock line).

and one for MAP (use stock line)

the third one is for wg but that is usual on a compressor housing of the new turbo.

you do not have to cap the 4 vertical lines on the lim as they go no where (you'll figure it out)

rest are not needed when going single and stand alone.

Well hope u didn't lose a primary rotor :) LoL j/k

one fast way to check the injectors is with the UIM off use a multi meter on the leads.

If it's a open circuit u found your injectors. I had a secondary go out on my FD when i had a voltage spike do to a alternator internal regulator going out.

heheheh ya that will cause a problem.

If you are going to keep the stock 550'cc you might want to look into eliminating the pulsation dampener too.

I just got insurance on my car again and got it to the point that it starts most of the time now (New motor with low compression, 70ish psi). I would appreciate a little bit of help tuning it (Haltech E6X) if anyone is interested. I live near Iowa City, and don't really feel to comfortable driving it very far yet.
