I may stop by sometime with my tii. Hopefully fixing the last few things this weekend. Fucking worst part of owning a rotary is ordering parts, then having them fuckup your order or not send them at all.....its a long road to a good running car...

Ahhh, I wanted to see that RX3. I hope he brings it back sometime. I had to coach volleyball last night, but I'll be back again at some point. Keep the rotaries comin'. I'm sure there are a few other hidden gems out there!

Hey Everyone,
This is unrelated to Sonic, but since everyone is subscribed...A friend of a friend is selling his 87 TII with no engine. I don't know this guy or have any incentive to push a sale, but my friend gave me more pics and info than what's in his CL ad. So I thought I'd share what I have because the car looks clean and could be a good project for someone. I added some more pics and I think the price is negotiable. It's this ad on Craigslist: http://minneapolis.craigslist.org/ra...564748634.html "It is a Red 1987 Mazda Rx7 Turbo II, 105,267 miles. Mint Interior. Upgraded cd player and rear speakers – Infinity. No Motor, Turbo, Downpipe, Clutch, and radiator. Still has the 5 Speed Trans, Racing Beat Exhaust minus the downpipe, There are a hand full of extra engine stuff in a few boxes that I have nothing major. The car has been stored winters since new. On the passenger rear side there is an issue with the clear coat I think It was resprayed before me and it bubbled and peeled(in a car wash) before I was able to catch it. Really doesn’t look too bad. Other than the rock coat showing on the passenger side the body is clean. I will also include a pair of 3rd gen brake calipers that will fit as well (sprayed black). When it was last running everything inside worked perfectly." |

"working from home" to pull the Rx7 out of storage tomorrow, supposed to be in the 70s! Its up on jack stands 30 miles away and I haven't seen it in 4 months but I expect everything to be in working order. I have never checked this event out but sounds fun, maybe I'll stop by.

Hey FunK73... I take back what I said about not needing your intermediate pipe, haha. RockAuto's retarded and they don't update their online catalog unless someone clicks on "Add to Cart", so both of those options I mentioned tonight are a dead-end. How soon are you doing that transmission swap, so I can rob it from you? lol

Transmission and rear end are This weekend. Exhaust SHOULD be next week but i found a bulge in one of my tires so i got set back $500 i wasnt intending to spend. I should still be able to get it done though. I would have to sell you both the pipe and muffler since the muffler flange is ddifferent. The exhaust has maybe 50k miles on it and ill take my extendo-tips off for you as well if you like. |

Lindalish do you have a large rotor sticker on your hatch? friend of mine spotted a fb in cambridge today, Anyways Ill be down there for a meet in 2 or 3 weeks just have to assemble my half bridge tII block order a weber ida manifold, wideband and drop it in :)

350 yeah I do! It's a large rotor with a piston in the middle crossed out, I have one on the hatch and one on my small quarter window on the passenger side. Ok, I felt like a douche tonight because I was in the middle of leaving the Mobil gas station in Isanti tonight (in a hurry to get home from easter to get some more progress on my gauge pod) and I saw a silver RX8 with a carbon fiber spoiler, possibly a body kit, and maybe aftermarket rims. A taller, average-sized guy was driving it with sunglasses and a short, spiky haircut with lighter hair. This may have been your friend 350, or maybe someone else on here knows him or maybe is him! Or else, does your buddy drive a black RX8? I see that car about once a week in Cambridge.
Anyways, I can't make it this week either as I work again I believe. I'll have to schedule a Wednesday off soon! |
Anybody have access to a welder so I can fix my presilencer and be ready for Wednesday? :V
