Why would you wire it through a relay?

One end of the switch goes to IGN 12V, the other to the aux input.

because i dont like having a hot wire wired directly to a switch like that. unless you know of a high amperage switch i can mount to the clutch bracket

the auxilary input does not use large amount of amps.
But you can use a relay if you insist.

Both ways you suggest of wiring the relay are acceptable. both will work.

What happen if you the ground wire work for the 2step and hotwire doesn't?

what^^^. if you use a pos+ switch to activate the relay you run into the chance of it shorting out, but if you use a ground sgnal to toggle the relay you dont have to worry about and problems. well anyways thanks guys.
