Wiring questions

I have a s4 rx7 with a s5 turbo motor and a lt10s. Im trying to find the fuel pump relay. i think i found it but now i need to know what wire to connect it to. It says wire terminal 85, but not shure where it is. And do i need to hook up my microtech to my stock fans, if so where are the wires for it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

the stock fuel pump relay is no longer used for the original purpose
the pin 85 referred to is on an aftermarket relay,, same type used for spotlight installs etc

the numbering system on the new relay is standard,, and basically when pins 85 and 86 make a field , pins 30 ( fused supply ) and pin(s) 87 are joined to power up

when wired to a micro
pin 30 = fused supply from battery , 30A rated wires
pin(s) 87 = to the fuel pumps ( 30A )
pin 85 = to the ecu ( earthed internally in the ECU on demand )
pin 86 = to the original OEM fuel pump wire ,, or an ignition switched sourced

wired thus,, the new fuel pumps are not hindered by the old relay ,, its 2 speed resister, or the crappy old wires and joins

importantly will switch off if the ECU doesnt see RPM from the CAS after timeout period !

note -
s4 NA lacks the 2 speed resister ,, and all s4's will require the safety switch in the redundant AFM wiring bridged to enable the original ignition relay

for the electric fans,, the procedure is the same,, using the same type of relay,, and the aux out wire ( sometimes white wire ) is used to trigger pin 85 ( and 86 goes to ignition switched source )
you then need to setup the screen 29 thresholds for fan on and maybe aux fan add [fuel ] ( and aux fan add air ) if your operating the BACv still

i have been trying to figure out what you mean for some time now, and i still dont get it. Could you try to dumb it down for me? Do i need to buy a new relay?

you need a common spotlight type automotive relay from the auto shop
they are all marked the same underneath
with pins marked 30 and 87 ( 30 amp side ) and also 85 and 86 ( low current switching side )
