Will LTX8 ser 5 (Turbo II) work on a 1993? NEED HELP!!!

I was sold a ser 5 instead of the one I paid for which was a ser 6. The guy who sold it to me said it was suppose to work but it didn't. I need information to see if this is true or not. Please help ASAP.

it will not work correctly

The two cars use different crank sensors so it will not work.

Actually, the ignition trigger is similar, but the actual trigger pulse is probably different.  I don't know how the MT reluctor works, so this might or might not make any difference.

The large difference is on the ignition output side.  The FD uses a straight 3 channel coil output (both L, T1, T2), while the FC uses a toggle (both L, T signal, T toggle).  It's probably this that confuses the MT between the two models.

How can I get in touch with MicroTech so they can send me an official document. None of their email are working.

When it comes to the S5 and S6 Crank angle sensor and the microtech, it is very particular, You will NOT be able to run the S6 crank angle sensor in place of an S5. But you can use a S5 Crank angle sensor in your S6 motor :D

As far as getting in touch with microtech

How do you tell if you have a series 5 or 6? I hope I didn't get screwed when I bought mine....

have a look at the wiring digrame that came in the book, if it has a picture of a CAS then it is a S4/5 type if it has a pic of the 2 pickups it is a s6 type, these pics are generally on the last page of the manual

I have used a s4 ecu on a s6, the wiring diag will be different but if you wire it up as s6 you wont have a proplem must double check timming & make shaw you have coils connected correct other wise may do engine damage if wiring is write you will have no proplems
