NO.
What car is it and where are you hooking it up to. |
its a 93 .... i could not find any wire diagrams that would help
lol sorry the year might help lol... |
FD?
I havnt been able to get the factory tacho working etiher on an FD |
not one gauge works for me do u need to ground some wires by the ecu?
|
None of the guages will work.
I have never spent enough time on an FD to figure it all out. I hate FDs. |
fuel works and oil presser tops out
|
Oil pressure should still work.
|
so how do i get the tach to work ... what wires do i need to ground . do u have a pin out?
|
My tach works on my FD...but i used the harness adapter so didn't do all that wiring stuff
|

thanx for no help |
Could you please post how you did it.
I am curious to learn as this would be a great help for me. |
thanx for no help
with that kind of a post you really are gona turn off any one from helping you |
well i did not get any help and i had to do it myself.... im just going to put aem in all the customer cars from now on .. plug and play is the key !! and the customer does not get pissed when i tell them i have to charge them to wire up all the stock gauges... bec then it becomes well over the price of a aem and they went with Microtech bec they wanted to save money... but in the long run they have well over what they could of gotten for a AEM for...
im not trying to be mean or make u or any one mad ... thats just the bottom line Microtech is not a bad computer ... just needs to come with paper work on how to wire up the stock gauges.... that way i would not of taken me hours to fig it out racefab.com |
Dosnt suprise me really.
People who operate workshop are self centred, selfish and only want help, never happy to give help. Good luck getting a reply out of me. |
I had the same problem,
the guages would work only when i turned the steering wheel with the car running, I think we grounded the wire from the power steering and the guages came to life hope that helps tony |
if that dont help will look thru the wiring tomorow for u its been a wile since we did it,
took us lots of time to figure out, |
ya it took me some time to get them all to work... i had to use the stock wiring to the trany and water temp to work .... that way the temp and speedo would work... now the rpm on one hand just started to work.. i had it hooked up right and if never worked tell i drove it some.....there is one wire u have to ground by the ecu to have the miles display on the speedo light up..
and i needed help bec i did not make the computer.... lol or i would know how u guys make the gauges work ... its ok if any one needs help with the wires i can help lol now that i know how to do it |
I got the same problem.
so which wire has to be hooked up? I think tach out from MT hast to go to tacho meter but problem is wiring diagram doesn't really shows which wire. some said it's blue/yellow but mine didn't work on that wire.. |
Man I am having the same problem, the only gauge that works is the fuel. My car gauges seem to turn off when I turn on the car. When putting the key to ACC right before turning on the car the RPM's and oil bounce up once like it used to but when cranking car on they shut down. Could this be my alarm doing this to my car, like a kill switch???
Someone needs to do a writeup and wiring diagram on this. |
Its not a alarm.
They just need to be connected. |
will look up the wires tomorow if I get to my car,
I know is grounding missing someware |
if u have the stock wiring .... cut the stock trany wiring out of the stock harness and the motor temp wire (its a single Y/W wire..) all the other crap on the stock harness is junk so toss it lol plug and play
